Sainikpuri is a residential neighborhood in Hyderabad’s northeastern outskirts. It is part of the Medchal-Malkajgiri District’s Kapra Mandal and is currently administered by the GHMC East Zone. It began as a cooperative housing society for retired army personnel, but it now houses members of other defense services as well as civilians.

Sainikpuri is surrounded by well-known residential areas such as Yapral, Dammaiguda, Neredmet, Bolarum, and Malkajgiri. A gymnasium, a basketball court, a badminton court, a library, and a community hall are among the amenities available. Foster Billabong High International School, Shantiniketan International School, Akshara International School, and Oak Valley International School are among the prestigious educational institutions within a 1Km to 5Km radius. Secunderabad Centre Mall and CMR Shopping Mall are 3km and 7km away, respectively. Nandini Hospital is 1 km away for medical assistance, while the well-known GVNR Health Poulomi, New Lifeline Multi Speciality Hospital, and Vanaja Hospital are all within 2 km.

Late General K.V. Krishna Rao, former Chief of Army Staff and Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, and several other retired senior officers of the Indian Army, Indian Air Force, and Civil Services were or were residents of Sainikpuri.
